Revit 2024 Fundamentals for Facilities Management Training – East Coast Time Zone

Objective: Students will learn the use of Revit for creating BIM 3D models, tailored to the unique needs of facility managers. The course begins by establishing a foundational understanding of building construction within Revit before delving into specialized tools for effective space planning — encompassing areas, zones, legends, and schedules. Participants will then explore advanced techniques in customizing family building concepts and parameters and enhancing compatibility with third-party software. The curriculum also introduces the fundamentals of collaborative teamwork through worksharing tools and provides a basic understanding of HVAC system. By the end of the course, participants will not only be proficient in building models but also in extracting critical information for various downstream applications and consumers.

Prerequisites: General knowledge of the AEC/FM industry, construction process and BIM process is recommended. Prior Revit knowledge is helpful but not required.  Requires access to Revit 2022 or newer with Revit 2023 or newer recommended.
