Objective: In this course, you will learn how to use AutoCAD for facilities management. The goals we will achieve include learning the AutoCAD GUI and navigation, using AutoCAD to create, modify, and manage data, creating views and sheets, and working with annotations. Additionally, you will learn to investigate your floor plan for facility management design intent and documentation, create color plans and tables for better visual understanding, and create custom attribute data for scheduling and extraction purposes. The course will cover importing and exporting Excel/table data for use within and outside of AutoCAD and using Autodesk Construction Cloud with AutoCAD for collaboration and communication.

Revit 2024 Fundamentals for Facilities Management Training

Objective: Students will learn the use of Revit for creating BIM 3D models, tailored to the unique needs of facility managers. The course begins by establishing a foundational understanding of building construction within Revit before delving into specialized tools for effective space planning — encompassing areas, zones, legends, and schedules. Participants will then explore advanced techniques in customizing family building concepts and parameters and enhancing compatibility with third-party software. The curriculum also introduces the fundamentals of collaborative teamwork through worksharing tools and provides a basic understanding of HVAC system.
