Objective: Designed for government and public sector surveyors and survey technicians who utilize Civil 3D®. This course combines hands-on exercises with instructor-led lectures to develop practical, real-world skills. Participants will learn how to work efficiently within a government environment—importing field data, generating automated Existing Conditions Plans, performing traverse adjustments, and managing survey databases. Additional topics include point and surface creation, field-to-finish workflows, and GIS integration. Students will explore tools for survey data queries, connecting and importing GIS data and imagery, exporting to GIS formats, and best practices in CAD management principles.
Prerequisites: Experience with AutoCAD® and a basic understanding of surveying and related terminology are
required. Access to Autodesk Civil 3D® 2020 or newer is required, with Civil 3D® 2023.2 or newer recommended.
